My husband passed away on 25 July 2021 due to Covid. He was 2 weeks in hospital during which time various blood tests were done by the mentioned pathology labs, Yesterday on 10 Nov 2021 I received a very disturbing call from this lab's account department. They wanted to speak to my husband. It was so upsetting as I am still so much in mourning. They said I have to pay them R7000 for the blood tests done while my husband was in hospital. I have send numerous emails to this lab requesting they send the accounts to Discovery Medical Aid. According to this lab, Discovery is not going to pay the bill. But I am on Classic Comprehensive scheme and Discovery should pay all hospital bills. So, what should I do now?
