Terrible Service and Food
<p>I would like to inform you about the terrible service I received yesterday from Dros in Gateway. </p> <p> </p> <p>Firstly the waiter that served us is named Mike. From the word go he got everything wrong. I ordered a Castle Lite Draught and he brought me a plain Castle. I told him that it is fine, stuff like this happens. From that point on everything went wrong.</p> <p> </p> <p>We ordered a garlic, herb and feta pizza as a starter.</p> <p> </p> <p>My mother wanted to order your Red Wine Melt Special. Apparently according to Mike, they where out of rump and serlion at 13:00h on a Sunday afternoon. Thus she could not order it. It was then she ordered the Beef Schnitzel. 15 minutes later Mike comes back and tell us that there is no Schnitzel. He insists that the only thing available is the 300g Mushroom Melt Steak, to which she orders it meduim rare. He tells us it comes with either chips or veg and she decides on the veg. Later during our visit I hear other patrons order the Red Wine Melt with no problems what so ever. Bit odd I would think. I ordered the Houtbay Platter. </p> <p> </p> <p>50 Minutes in we are still to receive our starter. I enquire with a manager as Mike is no where to be seen and he goes to the kitchen. 2 Minutes later it is serves ice cold with no flavor or feta. 30 Minutes later our mains arrive. So thus an hour and a half after we arrived. The steak was more medium well, veg tasted terrible. My prawns where undercooked, with no flavor what so ever. </p> <p> </p> <p>Mike did not check up on us once during the mains. 15 Minutes after we finished eating the plates was still on the table. Finally on of the other waiters clears the table and I request the bill from him. He goes to find Mike. After another 15 minutes I decide to rather pay at the front desk, as this is now wasting my time.</p> <p> </p> <p>As soon as Mike sees me at the front desk he comes running over only to find I have been charged extra for the veggies, as well as feta for the pizza, which I never received.. As I was in a hurry by then, I just paid and left. Mike does not belong any ware within the service industry. </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>Would not recommend at all. </p>
