Last week I took my son to Dros Northriding for the R20-00 burger special. He is allergic to mushrooms thus we asked that it be prepared plain, ie no garnish, no mushroom and just patty and cheese.

This took a lot of negotiation, when the waiter came back with a "no can't do", and when we prevailed a supervisor also said it was difficult...and that the "lady" apparently the owner, did not want to accede to our request, even though they agreed that the patties are cooked instore and do not arrive with mushroom and cheese sauce on!

Eventuallyafter substantial negotiations they gave in and when I was more than halfway through my meal my son's burger finallyarrived!

Today,at lunchtime I wanted to go back with my wife and son only to be told that the availability times have changed and the promotion is only available after 17:00 (this via a cheap n nasty A4 notice inside the shop).

There is no notice outside and I feel that this blatant changing of a promotions terms and conditions along with the stubborn attitude last week is NOT what the hospitality industry is all about!

I am bitterly disappointed as this got me to eat at the Dros for the first time, but we as a family will never be back, quite the opposite of the desired outcome for a promotion!
