Distasteful experience for a place with seemingly good food

This evening, myself and my family were in the mood for some good food in a restaurant for the first time after lockdown started. We decided that we would like to go to Dros New Redruth to see if their food on the menu was any better than the horrible takeaway pizza we got from them recently. This is the first time to visit Dros since they opened. We took our place at the table and ordered food from the waiter and received our drinks and starters within minutes, a pleasant surprise. The starter was great and we requested our main course, 2 x Cordon Blue's with fries which (we ordered with the starters) Shouldn't take long to get these if the starter arrived so quickly....... An hour later after signaling a huge question mark to the waiter, we eventually received our food. The 3-4 kitchen staff were seemingly battling to keep up with the restaurant patrons demands and this for a not even half full restaurant. Whilst enjoying our food, we had to listen to a Gorilla with a black cap shouting at the staff in the kitchen, not an ideal environment to enjoy good food in. I much prefer good music and people socializing, you know enjoying the experience and food? When the manager did her rounds at our table, I mentioned to her that we had to wait an hour for our main course and also that the shouting in the kitchen was quite a turn-off. The manager in question then approached the chef in the kitchen and I overheard what his ******** and quite arrogant remarks was, this some 20-25meter away across the eating hall from the kitchen. Later on I took my son to the men's and on the way back to our table, spoke to the other manager about my concerns and the remarks that was made before the chef made way to the reception area.

I was then rubbed off by the manager in unconcerned manner and the chef told that "here is the client that was complaining". A rant from the chef***ner) then ensued with a pathetically arrogant and spineless attempt at an excuse from him, not taking responsibility for his pathetic remarks uttered earlier. Now, I am an old Albertonion and have been here for a few years, I know many people in this place and I told this chap this. I told him that I will spread the good word about how distasteful he makes good food to not even mention how he handles the staff infront of other people. Some older chap also pitched up in the meantime, probably also some family member who also did not have no better attitude than his teammate. He also added two worthless cents. After this we paid and waited another 40minutes for 2 x waffles with icecream. I doubt Dros is worth my money and their foul attitude has set me off probably indefinitely. I've honestly had better experiences from in this town.
