Despicable Service from DROS MIDRAND

<p>Dros has advertised a birthday special every Wednesday for the month of May.</p> <p>Included in this is a burger meal special.</p> <p>We visited Dros in Midrand (Carlswald) last night and stood in a long queue outside from 5:50pm to 7:10pm eagerly waiting entrance into the restaurant.</p> <p>At around 7pm we finally moved with the crowd into the restaurant itself. Standing there for a further 10min, the store manager then approached and said all specials are finished. </p> <p>We were obviously disgruntled as we could have been told this a long time ago, instead of waiting for more than an hour to finally get into the store and THEN be told they have no stock.</p> <p>When asked why we were not informed of this earlier. The manager was unperturbed, and said "take it up with the owners".</p> <p>This attitude and the fact that no effort was made to keep people informed of the stock running out is truly unacceptable. We understand stock runs out... However, it is not unreasonable for us waiting in the queue for so long, to expect to be informed of the stock depleting long before we get to the front of the queue. To have people wait in anticipation and then after an hour be informed that we cannot be assisted is unacceptable. People with little kids stood in queues waiting.</p> <p>Surely the manager would’ve been able to know at any given time how much stock he has left, and keep people informed, so that people don’t waste time standing in the queue only to find out they cannot be served.</p> <p>We loved the DROS and often visited the restaurant as we live in the area, but our experience yesterday has been so disheartening that we will not wish to visit the restaurant again not only for the specials, but even for the regular meals. </p>
