Dirty Food & Bad Attitude

<p>Last night we, a family of 5, attended Dros in Canal Walk. We had a lovely waiter (Irvine) but sadly the food and attitude of the Manager was not so lovely.</p> <p> </p> <p>Two of our children ordered pizza and both pizza's had hair (from a cloth) on the underside of the pizza. I am not talking about one or two stray pieces of strand, I am talking about the whole base of the pizza covered in fluffy white/blue hair.</p> <p> </p> <p>Clearly the pizza oven had not been used and was simply wiped with a cloth (which is not the correct procedure in cleaning an oven!) and the bases placed on that dirt.</p> <p> </p> <p>Once identified, we reported it to the Manager, who had a superior attitude and made excuses instead of solutions. He said that it was pieces of the cloth and at no time seemed concerned that it was on our children's food - he simply said that we did not have to pay for it and we could order something else rather. What kind of establishment hires such people?! When we asked him to write down his name, he refused - saying that he could not write - ***! Really!</p> <p> </p> <p>I thought DROS was an upper class establishment, but clearly the lack of patrons in the restaurant was a testament to the actual reality of what Dros is or has become. In the meanwhile - directly opposite Dros, the SPUR was pumping people in and out - I can now see why.</p> <p> </p> <p>I should tell our waiter (who was very nice indeed and who received a favaourable tip despite the Manager and Kitchens issues) to pop over to the SPUR and apply to work there rather!</p> <p> </p> <p>Besides that, I also told the Manager that there was a mouse running around in the childrens playroom. He simply shrugged his shoulders and said that they put down pesticide things, but that there was nothing he could do because the mice comes from the centre and they have no control.</p> <p> </p> <p>Really? Seriously? My next complaint will be to the heath department and to Century City Management! </p>
