****s, uncooperative, poor communication, no accountability and no intention to learn nor improve.

Droppa has found a way to completely undermine an excellent business idea by poor customer service that is stubborn and unwilling to take any accountability, let alone learning from "mistakes". My review is long, and it covers how they ****, hid information, denied any responsibility and were reluctant to acknowledge their shortcomings, and ultimately refusing to improve. I've never been more disappointed; the service was so bad that I wondered if I had not been ****med.

Using their same day delivery product, a parcel was handed over at 09h03am, and reached the Cape town airpot fairly early because at 10h34 I was informed that my parcel was scanned and a phone was detected. I told them that there was no phone in the suitcase, but given the options available and the costs associated with them, I decided I'd at least get closure if they delivered this 'phone' to me. They made me pay R596 to deliver the phone over 25km. 15 minutes later I was called and informed that the airpot had scanned again and found no phone, so a refund will be made, which they did the next day(when I paid immediately) and the repayment with a 24 hour delay was to reflect in 3 business days. When I advised a consultant on how they should have handled this, the response was dismissive and the focus from her side was on how the airpot did the scan; ignoring that there's a better way that they could have handled it from their side.

Back to delivery day; their website showed that the parcel would arrive in Durban by 3pm, and the last communication from Droppa was via Sms at 11h04am staring that the driver from Durban had accepted the booking to deliver the parcel from King Shaka airpot to my wife's home address.

We waited until 15h50 where my wife decided to call and enquire because they were set to travel 3 hours by road that afternoon as soon as the parcel arrived, for a funeral. The consultant informed my wife that the flight was set to land at 15h30 at King Shaka, so she will call the driver for information. Now, as the client, I did not have any view of this information prior. When I confronted the consultant the next day about this lack of communication, she denied it and said that they had informed my wife that the flight was leaving at 17h00 to land at 19h00, basically denying that they told her it would land at 15h30. When I spoke to another consultant on the day, he told me that the 19h00 landing was part of a delay in flight. I told both of them about the need to have information in writing so that there are no conflicting updates, they both reacted with denial and emotion. Ultimately the flight actually left cape town at 19h30 and landed at 21h03 and my wife had to fetch the parcel from the airpot herself. When I enquired to Seipati(consultant)about why I'm paying for the delivery from the airport, I was told that it is because my wife offered to do the job herself so they'll still take their share. There was absolutely no regard and no consideration for a customer who was in a position where they had to cut matters short in order to travel 3 hours to the rural areas after 9pm. They even have a live tracker that doesn't work; why do you have something on your website that doesn't work? They lie and hide information from the customer. Absolutely disgraceful and disappointing. Where the communication would have helped is that it would have given the customer a chance to re-evaluate whether it is still safe to receive the parcel that late. I could have fetched it from Cape town airpot myself and travelled with it later in the week. This service has some extremely selfish people who do not care at all for the service they provide.
