VERY POOR AFTER SALES, CUSTOMER CARE & ATTITUDE!!!!

I don't like publicly expressing my displeasure with a brand or a business because it doesn't really bode well with me. I'd rather try and resolve the issue face to face however I'm now at my whits end. Do yourself a favor and stay away from Droneworld Cape Town branch!! Responses to enquirers are almost non existent. No care attitude on the phone!! (From certain members of staff) Bought two drones in the period when "Free insurance" was advertised. To date, nothing!! Not even a phone call to set it up! I've since found out the insurance is no longer on offer. Don't get me wrong, they will do anything to help you spend the cash with them but that is where it stops!! Repairs do not keep you posted of their progress and I'm unable to actually get hold of the technician (or department) over the phone. Sales just put you through and the phone rings until it stops. I crashed it and it was my fault totally!! This however is not the source of my frustration. Also note, read the fine print, quotes are valid only for 24hours although they did honor the quoted repair price a few weeks later after the quote. Also, they did offer me a discount on my second drone which I thank you for. However, after sales is where the ball has been dropped and I found them frustrating to deal with!! Take my advice, buy from ORMS. They always returned my calls if not taken. They are always professional! They are always helpful!! Their drone specialist sales people are very knowledgeable about the products they sell!! They have stock and pricing of items such as batteries. I bought from Dronworld because I assumed because they specialize in drones and they would be the preferred supplier. Do your homework before you part with your cash. Please do not contact me to try and resolve, I have contacted you on at least three occasions to express my frustration and till now, no resolve or improvement or courtesy call to discuss. My next drone will NOT be bought from you.

PS: Today is 04/07/2018 and it is now 9:17. I will report back when I have a call returned re my inquiry (@ 08:32am) on the status of my drone repair which was paid for in advance. I was informed it would be ready end of June 2018. No courtesy follow up from Droneworld CT yet as to the progress.

Yours faithfully Lost customer

Good Day,

Trust you well.

Thank you very much for your feedback, we appreciate all the feedback whether it is bad or good, It helps us to improve our service.

We are glad that we could get this matter resolved and now we just await your instruction as to whether we should ship out your order or will you be collecting.

The DJI Mavic Air is a fairly new drone so to get parts for it is a little tricky but we are glad that our tech team was able to get the parts and fix your drone.

We look forward to hearing from you and are truly sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Regards,

Droneworld Team.

Reviewer Update
Since my comment above I've had numerous telephonic and email communications from the Droneworld Team. Herewith a summary of the comms: Apology for the frustration caused due to lack of communication. I was assured that Droneworld value their customers and are working on correcting the shortcomings that lead to the poor communication. Apology accepted. Regular updates as to the progress with the repair up to the point where it has been repaired A courtesy call from the Tech team explaining the repair. Apparently my drone is dead and the new circuit board was installed into another crashed drone. (Droneworld please feel free to comment. I had a bad line and this is what I gathered from the conversation. I stand to be corrected here) I was asked if I would approve of this as the drone would now be white and there would be no additional cost to the quoted price. I accepted this of course as I would prefer a working drone no matter the colour. I also received a call offering me a complimentary gift. A Pahntom 4 Pro isn't quite what they had in mind (LOL) however the gesture is appreciated and not necessary. Droneworld offered to deliver the drone to my place of residence FOC along with the Phantom 4 Pro ( I mean complimentary gift LOL!!) I accepted this (although I offered to cover the courier costs) as I live about 50km away from CT. Thank you once again. No communication as to the April "free insurance for three months" promotion however, I accept the "gift" is a gesture of good will re this matter. Droneworld, barring a free gift, if you keep up comms like you have been your after sales service would certainly continue draw new customers and keep existing ones. PS: Have I ordered the new Mavic yet......... Thank once again for caring enough to resolve my frustration. Yours Faithfully Returned Customer
