****med out of R100k for a car from DriveRite
I wanted to buy a car. I was referred to Rowan from DriveRite Kyalami. He showed me the cars on the floor and took me for a test drive in a X5. I did not want that car so he arranged for me see another car at DriveRite Randburg. I met Nagesh who was one of the salesman. He showed me a Range Rover that I was interested in purchasing. Nagesh called the owner of DriveRite and then asked me to make the necessary arrangements with Rowan. I needed the car urgently and Rowan offered to speed up the roadworthy test and paperwork if I paid a deposit of R100k by midday on 12 Dec 2025. He asked me to pay into the vehicle owners account. When I asked for the paperwork he said if I pay the vehicle owner directly he will be able to release the car and send me the paperwork on Monday. The next day (Sunday) I did not feel comfortable so I told him I am being hasty and I'd like to think about. I asked him to return the money. I've had a whole host of excuses for not returning the money. I called DriveRite and they said they don't know Rowan. What doesn't make sense to me is that Rowan showed me the cars and he knew the man at DriveRite. He was also handed the keys to take me for a test drive so how do they not know him? I was ****med out of R100k by going to DriveRite to buy a car. This is a note to be careful of ****s at DriveRite.
