Excellent service
Good day guys, first I would like to apologise for the long post but I waited quite a while before posting my experience with Dreamware Tech. Prior to the PS5 launch being a console gamer for the past 6 years, my fiancé and I decided to switch over to PC as my father-in-law bought his rig for Flight simulator 2020. I sent of a list of specs to 3 different companies and on the same day Justin from Dreamware rep**** with advice and a quote. Long story short I ordered the PC as Pre-built and it was delivered 5 days later.
As I was still working from home I unboxed my new PC in lunch time and straight out of the box there was no display to the monitor. The monitor gave a weird resolution not supported error. I tried the FHD LG monitor and I had display. Called Brent at Dreamware and he was also really confused regarding the issue. As Impulsive as I normally am I decided to just buy another monitor. After discussing this with Brent he told me encouraged me not to buy a monitor till he can figure out why I am having that issue.
Later that night I tried testing the PC on the LG monitor to see if everything is working and 2 min in I received a no display message as if the PC just shut off. When ai notified Brent the next morning he arranged one of their guys to come and have a look at my house to find the issue.
So Justin came out the following day to diagnose the issue and found that the Asus TUF RX5700 X3 OC GPU was faulty. He installed his old Radeon RX 580 and ran through the standard driver and Bios updates. While he was busy he slightly overclocked my R5 5600x. He re-installed my RX 5700 and still no display. Justin then borrowed me his (I think it is one of his personal GPU's) RX 580 and told me he will get the warranty process started.
Since it was already early Dec and businesses where closing for the holiday it was a tight window to try and resolve the warranty. He kept me updated and notified me that I will only be able to get my new GPU in Jan 2021 but I can borrow his GPU till my replacement arrives.
So January came and once they opened up Justin emailed me regarding my GPU claim. He mentioned that the supplier didn't have the TUF RX 5700 in stock and I will be credited and can pick a new GPU on their website. So after a lot of back and forth with emails and options Justin recommended a few upgrades. So I pulled the trigger and ordered the MSI Geforce 3060 TI on Thursday the 7th of Jan. Justin emailed me The following Monday to arrange a time to come through to me and install the GPU. As many know Dreamware is located in Durban and I am in Benoni Gauteng. He came through the next day and installed, ran driver updates and stress tested my PC while I was there.
So big thank you to Brent and the Dream team at Dreamware Tech and to Justin for the patience and effort to ensure customer satisfaction. Will use them anytime in the future and will recommend them to anybody.
