Pathetic Service!!

<p>So for starters, a venue was running a competition to win a wedding, all inclusive. This lady then sponsored photography for the competition, there were 5 winners and she sponsored 4 of their photography.</p> <p>We won the competition, yay, so we then had to make arrangements with the photographer for everything. We won in September and she then contacted us to do our e-shoot in October, i could not do this date as i had a wedding to do as well, so we postponed (mind you it took about 2 weeks to get the date from her initially) We then got a date for November, so we were all excited. Only for her to then phone us the Monday before the shoot to tell us, listen i have arranged to us Monte Casino for the shoot, they charge so you need to pay R500 in. Um sorry but where must we scratch this money out of halfway through the month and less than a week before the date??? So we cancelled that.</p> <p>We then arranged to do the shoot the following weekend at a venue with no fee. Okay so full steam ahead. The next saturday arrives and we pile the kids into the car (she stated we should bring them with for the photos so that we didnt have to get a babysitter), and we are off, from Brakpan (as we were at a party) through to Magaliesberg (she stays there), on the way we get a call from what is supposed to be her assistant (after ive smsed to let her know we are on our way) only for her to tell us that this photographer has hurt her knee and she is in casualty and cannot do our shoot anymore, we will postpone to next weekend. But her hurt her knee a while before and didnt think to let us know so that we didnt waste our time getting packed up and on our way??? So after a bit of a heated conversation i end the call and leave it at that.</p> <p>So a few days later i sms her to let her know what my dates look like, is she able to assist on any of them, i sent this message on the 23/11. Silence from her, no reply.</p> <p>So on the 7/12 i sms to ask whats going on, can we organise something only to get a message back saying they are closed for the festive season, she returns on the 16th and will attend to us then.</p> <p>So obviously i am now angry, so i send a message back saying that an sms on the 23/11 would have been appreciated, only for her to then sms back that if i am not satisfied she will take no offense to me booking with another photographer?!?!?!</p> <p> </p> <p>Okay so after all of this messing around of a service YOU sponsored, you feel i should be happy with the service i received?</p> <p> </p> <p>So i phoned her and we had an argument, her saying that it was me who wanted such an early appointment and not a month or two before the wedding (keep in mind she contacted me about a shoot for the 8th of October!), and that all the other winners upgraded their packages so it was easier for her to work around. So because we did not upgrade we were now being difficult? Excuse me!</p> <p>So eventually we then agree that she will contact me in the new year to arrange.......</p> <p>On the 15th of January she lets me know she has secured a venue with no cover charge for this Sunday gone passed, the 22nd. So okay we love the place its full steam ahead again.</p> <p>She says she will organise a flower crown for me etc and she has some great ideas, yay i get excited.</p> <p>Sunday comes and i get a message to let me know that my local florist would be able to assist with a flower crown for me to look good, um but didnt you say u were going to get that for me? where must i get the money and time to do that now??</p> <p>So our shoot was for 4pm, so we arrive about 3pm to make sure we on time, around 3:30 we decide to walk around just before we need to meet with her, by this time no other cars had entered, only cars that left. So we see her busy with a couple already, great shes been with them since we arrived then so they should be done soon.</p> <p>3:55 i go stand near then in anticipation for our shoot, eventually after trying to pretend im not there she acknowledges me and says shes running 30 minutes late, we must go have a drink and she will call us.</p> <p>4:45 she is still busy with them!!! the restaurant has cleared tables, waiters have left and the owner is busy locking everything up, he tells my fiance he closes at 5 so everyone should start leaving. You can imagine how fuming we are by now!</p> <p>So i go to her and tell her, listen we are leaving as the owner has said hes locking up, and she tells me no she has organised to be there until 6pm. So answer me this, if your last shoot is booked for 4-5pm, why would you arrange to be there until 6pm???</p> <p>So i walk back to my car, my fiance has lost it and says he wont do the shoot anymore as this is ridiculous. Im there for 5-10 minutes when she sends her poor daughter up to us to tell us we can now come for our shoot, just over an hour later than scheduled!</p> <p>I then politely told her daughter to tell her mom that we are leaving and will find someone else to do our wedding!!!!</p> <p> </p> <p>The service we received was shocking, why sponsor your time and effort if you do not want to put the time and effort into it??? Besides the fact that she changed the package she was supposed to have given us as winners in the first place!</p> <p> </p> <p>I will NEVER recommend her to ANYONE, and i dont think anyone reading this should either!!</p>
