Don't know how this agency is still operating...

The nightmare continues...

I used to rent out my house in Gordons Bay through Dream Africa Properties, previously Leapfrog & to be honest, a nightmare. I lost money, can't exactly say how much but a lot.

They never do any inspections. When I had enough & wanted to sell the house, I got sent photos from an agent associated to another agency. Walls were cracking, roof was leaking, the garden an absolute mess. I'm in KZN so couldn't check up myself. But was never informed about this because there was no regular inspection.

Twice I found new tenants myself. The agency essentially had to do the paperwork yet still charged me a finders fee.

At some point last year, I had no tenants for about a 2 month period. Well, I think. According to the agency there was no one but the utilities bill clearly shows electricity & water used over the same period. Again, due to Covid, I couldn't get to Cpt to investigate this & had to take the agency's word on this.

Eventually sold the house end of 2020 which ended the horror show.

Beginning of Aug 2021 I contacted the agency again just to get a complete owners statement for the last tax year. I'm still waiting... 3 weeks... Multiple messages to multiple people. At some point I got a reply from the receptionist that they're working on it as they are very busy. This was a week ago.

I don't know where else to go other than here. All I need is a statement. And now it seems I will just have to cut my losses & move on, again. Other than going to the agency & printing it out myself, not sure what else I can do...
