Stunned by Haumann & Partners

I have undergone many operations done at both Rosepark and Medi-Clinic in Bloemfontein. All operations were approved in advance by my Medical Aid. It appears that the Medical Aid approval does not cover services provided by Anaesthetist. This apparently applies to procedures conducted by doctors operating under the name Hauffman. Every time they submit a claim to the Medical Aid, all of their services are not paid out in full and the patient is left with a huge bill afterward. I find this strange as these incidents are only applicable to Haumann, but not to other Anaesthetists. Over time, these outstanding amounts are handed over for collection by the lawyers called Dippenaar & Crous. You become aware of your situation when these lawyers begin issuing Summonses that you are in big trouble. Nobody from Haumann gives you the dignity and respect as the patient to make alternative means to settle. I find this strange, as I have gone through the same procedures for operations carried out in Rosepark that never ended with me as a patient owing monies to the Anaesthetists. In my visit to Haumann and Partners which took place yesterday, I now discover with horror that amounts outstanding against my name come as far back as 2016 and 2017. These were apparently as a result of the operations, I am told, that were carried out in those years, and unbeknown to me, were never settled in full by the Medical Aid. I am not happy that these amounts must have been communicated to me even before the operation commenced. Secondly, I don't understand why the second operation was even undertaken in 2017, while there was an unpaid account from 2016? Instructions to Dippenaar & Crous were done during the lockdown months in 2020 and there was no one available to talk to me during this period. I am very much aggrieved and hope that you can assist me on your platform to sort this mess out.
