What a pity Dr. Werkman is a great doctor...

Although I am not usually one to write positive reviews her, the moment I read the existing review for Dr. Werkman's practice I felt the need to post an alternative perspective. I have been seeing Dr. Werkman for over a year and I can honestly say that Dr. Marilene Werkman is phenomenal. I understand that Doctors are placed under a lot of pressure to perform their evaluations within 15 minutes and I have rarely come across a doctor who is both efficient and thorough. I am a bit of a hypochondriac and having a doctor who is understanding of this and can reassure me when I am concerned is a true blessing.

Now at this point my three star review may not make as much sense as I have zero complaints about the doctor herself. From what I understand she has two receptionists. The receptionist I encountered during my last weekend visit was an absolute pleasure and every time I contact the practice I genuinely hope to have her be the one who answers the phone. The other receptionist is incredibly short with me, rude and in general just not a pleasant person to deal with. To give further background to this, I have never owed the practice money, and in general I keep to myself when I come through the doors. I also visit the doctor maybe 4 times a year so I am unsure what happened that created this unpleasant behaviour towards me but it is starting to impact my desire to return to the practice, especially due to my last interaction with her where I felt very vulnerable, due to the amount of pain I was in at the time. The whole experience left a sour taste in my mouth. I will be returning to the practice one more time and hope to have a more pleasant experience this time around. But it is a pity to lose a great doctor due to one rude receptionist.
