HE SHOULD NOT BE A DOCTOR

Imagine being told that your life may be in danger that severe inflammation is spreading through your body and there could even be a blood clot near your lungs, only to arrive at a hospital expecting urgent medical care and compassion, and instead experience complete neglect. My mother arrived terrified and in serious pain, yet Dr. Tshibidi did not see her for almost two days. When he finally did, he woke her by tapping her and asking, “What’s wrong with you?” That level of indifference toward any person is completely unacceptable and deeply disturbing. During her stay, she was given nothing more than basic over-the-counter pain medication, with no urgency, no proper monitoring, and no meaningful checkin from the nurses. For nearly two days, she received care that she could have gotten herself at a pharmacy. Everything was delayed, and there was little to no communication from staff. The nursing staff showed very little compassion or professionalism, and the overall attitude from nearly every staff member we encountered was disappointing. The only person who made any genuine effort to help was Dr. Mbata, and for that we are grateful. This experience felt like a complete failure of patient care and a misuse of medical aid funds. Honestly, my mother has received better treatment at state hospitals than she did at this facility. No family should have to watch a loved one be treated this way.
