Bad service by a highly recommended Doctor

I'm very dissappointe with the service we got from Dr. S. M Legodi in Tembisa Sedibeng on the 11 of January after a tradedy we were facing at home and my grandfather being in critical state we had decided to take him to Dr. Legodi cause he has been our family doctor for the longest time. At first my grandfather was not in a good state and had to be placed on the oxygen after checking him and him making diagnosis the Dr state that he had to be admitted on hospital and wrote a letter that we take him to Edenvale hospital cause unfortunately his not on any medical aid. But because he had to be on oxygen this means we cannot drive him to hospital but had to be taken there by ambulance. The receptionist called an abumalance and told had it would be there in no time and that in the meantime we should prepare everything that my grandfather would need in hospital to my surprise after about an 2-3 hours of being in the surgery I went to the receptionist again to enquire about the ambulance. I then insisted that if she called a public ambulance can she rather call a private on and we will pay for the fees. She rudely told me to go sit down and not move around the surgery she will call, anyway she called the ambulance and cause she called the public ambulance they told her that they have a large number of patients and that it would take time for them to come collect my grandfather cause they have a list they follow and that there's nothing we can do but to be patient once I again I told her to call a private one and we will pay the fees cause my grandfather was sitting on a chair with the oxygen for hours and hours and again his condition was worsening and deitoriating another receptionist came and starting assisting with the calling of a private ambulance she was rather helpful than the other on. In no time the private ambulance was there and we were ready to go.. But once again another hour was wasted cause Dr Legodi and his receptionist didn't call the hospital to confirm if there are beds there and if my grandfather can come also they didn't confirm that when we get thlo the causulty which Dr must assist we waiting again for hours and hours they called the hospital but kept on being placed on hold mind you the time we wasting waiting for a public ambulance is the time we they could have used to call the hospital and confirm if everything was right. Fast forward we arrived at Endenvale hospital after Dr Legodi assured us that we would be assisted by Dr Mane at Endenvale to our surprise there was no Dr that goes by the name Mane this was now another issue as we all no cause of this Pandemic hospitals and Dr are experiencing a large number of patients. We had to spend a large amount of money again with another private ambulance so that my grandfather can be transfered to another hospital as Endenvale has no beds.

I'm very really highly disappointed by the treatment we got from the get go from Dr Legodi I'm not sure if this is how they treat cash payment patients and if their frost priority is medical aid patients cause this is clearly the reason why we got such a bad service especially from a Dr we consider as our family Dr him knowing our family history. For the longest time we were at the surgery Dr Legodi never came to check up on my grandfather even when he was deitoriating he would just pass. I think it's common courtesy that when you have a patient that is in critical state to keep checking on them while they are still at your surgery that wasn't the case we got the worst treatment form them. Our time was wasted after we have paid for everything he just wanted to get rid of us hence why he just wrote a name of a Dr that doesn't even exist. His a good Dr and is highly recommended but I'd advice people to not even go there if they are cash patient their priority is medical aid patients.
