Biological dentist with no intention to help

I visited Dr Rojas after a ct scan which picked up an infection in my bone after a failed root canal. I wanted to look at the problem holistically after having many other side effects. The receptionist at his new rooms in Bryanston was very helpful at first and gave me an appointment the very next day.

But that’s when the efficiency stopped , after bringing a CR scan , I was required to pay R2000 for the consultation and a panoramic X-ray.

Dr Rojas was very friendly and detailed in his approach , however when asking more detail he kept referring me either to his Facebook page or a quote which he would send me.

He indicated I would need to be put under and take a week off work and pointed out many other issues he found besides the infection which was most worrying. I was told I would have my detailed quote and plan by the following Friday

I contacted his office 5 times over last four weeks, emailed 4 times and even my referring doctor called . I received a response from the receptionist that they would get around to it when they have time , when I called the 4th time the lady was so annoyed by me she said the doctor had no time to deal with me for the next 6 months .

Considering I had a rather large pending infection that could form a danger to my health , I thought it strange that they would be happy to take on consult when they provided no service for it.

When I indicated the urgency she scoffed at me and put down the phone.

I would like to report him to the medical council as I don’t see how a doctor can provide no service at all or recommendations and charge such a fee.

I have had to revert to a endodontist to assist me who though was busy saw the urgency in my matter.
