No tact or sympathy

I went to see this doctor at the beginning stages of trying to fall pregnant, at the time I was also due for pap smear. Not once did the doctor ask for a family history or any of my past medical history.

She did my exam and without further explanation put me on medication, when I asked why she offered nothing further just to "take it until I say you stop"

I then received call a few days later stating my pap smear contained traces of cancer markers and I must come back in 6 months. Now had she taken a medical/family history, she would have known how traumatising this news would be to some who's family have been diagnosed with cervical cancer - especially over the phone and again without further explanation as to what this may mean for me she hangs up.

The lack of tact and sympathy shown is disgusting.
