I went to this doctor last year to have my eye checked that was teary, Red and extremely painful. I was told to signed a form with my details and pay an upfront fee since the rest was going to be covered by my medical aid now they telling **** that the medical aid never paid and the account is with the lawyers so i have to pay the lawyer collection fees as well now on top of that. This Doctor was in my medical aid's network doctors. I don't understand how he did not know the consultation will not be covered by my medical aid. and i never got a call from them to tell me this now i hear the collection people are handling it. I feel this is totally unacceptable. If the doctors know the medical aid will not pay why are they taking it in the first place?1 this is bull**** and all the doctors are doing this ****. and no one tells you this before hand
