Misdiagnosed & Careless

Dr Mohmeena Mauthoor Hosanee had diagnosed my sister with cysts on her ovaries, she then said that she was lactose intolerant and prescribed with with Glucophage. The tablet is 1000mg which had then caused her to feel nauseous and dizzy. When my sister called the Doctor she told her that she was overweight and had to lose weight (she is 24 years old and weighs 55KG's). She told her further that the cysts on her ovaries will go away on its own and did not prescribe her with any medication to treat the cysts. The doctor did not do a papsmere or take any photographs of the scan for her to see and had told her that the cyst was the size of her uterus. When my sister asked her about it the size of it and said that it did not sound right, she ignored that and went on to tell her about her needing to cut out all sugars from her diet. My sister had then ended up rather ill and was rushed in to hospital, she suffered from a lot of pain and did not feel well. Her new gynaecologist realised that the problem happened to be the cysts all along and she was not lactose intolerant and had to stop taking the Glucophage ASAP. She then went in to theatre for a laparoscopy and realized her cysts burst
