Do not trust Dr Kaashiefa Kistnasamy at this practice ! This lady ruined my life ! I went to this dr a few months ago and was seen by the female doctor at the practice her name was Dr Kaashiefa Kistnasamy , I went to her because I suspected I had a uti , after failing to administer a pee test (in which she asked me did I pee already and I responded yes I did but I do not mind peeing again) she told me it’s okay I don’t need to pee and administered a strong antibiotic called ciproplaxin (this antibiotic should only be given to people after strongly identified that they have a bacterial infection as it has Harmful side effects), I became extremely sick after this and developed mild cystitis(a chronic bladder condition) , severe bladder issues and pain, flare ups where I couldn’t stop peeing to a point where I had to wear diapers, couldn’t walk because of the pain or leave the house. I became severely depressed and developed anxiety was out of work and couldn’t enjoy my life. I thought there was something wrong with me and proceeded to see several other doctors even paid R1400 to see a urologist as well as 3000 rand at a radiologist to do further tests , a ultrasound and a scan which showed I never had a uti to begin with as well as the urine tests i had done which was taken to labs where I went for several tests showing negative for uti , the issue I had was chronic constipation and faeces buildup which affected my bladder functioning this was proven by all the tests scans and ultrasound done . I told dr khashief on the day I saw her that I was very constipated and I didn’t use the bathroom in a whole week , if she had just tested my pee she would have known I never had a uti and everything I went through this pass 3 months would have been avoided . Her negligence and incompetence as a doctor caused me physical and emotional harm and damage and I want justice. Because of her , I live in fear everyday of getting a flare up , I’m scared to eat or drink certain foods because of the impact it may or may not have on bladder. Before the antibiotics I could eat or drink whatever I wanted but now that my bladder lining is so damaged because of the antibiotics I can’t eat a lot of foods and I had to give up a lot of things. According to the South African health council and The world health organisation before a strong antibiotic like cypropaxin can be given to patients a pee test is compulsory. She went against health standards and guidelines. It’s been almost more then 3 months and my bladder is still not fully recovered because of the damage the antibiotics caused. I have yet to fully recover. The antibiotics messed up my bladder lining and caused me so much physical pain. Please do not trust this doctor. If she just took 2 minutes out of her time seeing me to test my pee , it would of indicated that all I needed was a strong laxative to fix my problem , but because of her negligence I had to suffer for months. I had a friend who was in a similar position to me , she also suspected she had a uti but at the same time had constipation when she saw her doctor , before just putting her on antibiotics for a uti , he tested her pee and her pee showed she had no uti and that it was her constipation affecting her bladder. If dr khashiefa just done her job properly that day it would have saved me so much pain and suffering.
