Dr MH Carrim refused point blank to assist Covid 19 pneumonia patient at deaths door & that has been his patient for almost 12 years

Dr MH CArrim is my husband s Gp for more than 11years . He even circumcised both our sons . We called him on Friday 13 August @at 11.56 about my husband, covid 19 pneumonia condition. Patish’s oxygen saturation was at 72%, and that he was experiencing loss of short term memory & was loosing consciousness . & a burning sensation in his brain . A loss is scent and taste and that he was not in con control of normal simple movements like writing , or standing . Patish was ineed of dire help as due to the lack of oxygen he was loosing consciousness and becoming delirious.He abruptly/rudely responded that he Dr MH Carrim, had not referred my husband for the COVID-19 test ,so he could not be bothered to assist!!kindly contact Dr F haffejee & ask her to deal with it and he put the call down .Dr. Carrim would not listen to us , when we explained 1. Dr Fatima haffejee only sees women due to religious reasons. 2. Patish did the covid test with his wife , because his wife Fatima Bibi Abdool had a womb problem and had gone to see her dr HAffejee . As his wife was showing symptoms of covid , Dr Hafeejee advised Fatima that it would be in every ones best interest if both husband and wife underwent a covid test .unfortunately both Patish& I were positive. Dr MH Carrim had forgotten about the hypocritical oath that he had sworn to assist the sick . He is so blinded by making money that you have to pay cash only . It’s double the price on a Sunday & if you ask for a receipt you must be prepared to pay up to another R200 cash for it , because as per Dr CArrims owns words , ‘ less paper work , No TAX to pay ! “I am saddened and disappointed by Dr MH Carrim s behaviour. Because of his negligence and unwillingness to help ,my husband s body deteriorated arlamingly at a rapid pace . 1. His oxygen saturation had dry to 6o%2.He was urinating blood 3.HIs short term memory loss worsened.4.his one lung had stated to become infected as well as started to collapse. 5. He was disoriented & falling down from lack of oxygen 7. I finally Managed after begging and pleading and praying , that I got Dr M Vahed to do a house call . Dr. Carrim my husband was taken to Glynwwood hospital on 16th August 2021at 19.38pm by ambulance. On arrival, his condition was critical. 1His oxygen saturation was on 40%. 2 He was placed under high flow oxygen 80%3 He was put on drips and given other meds to stabilise him 3. His one lung was severely infected with Covid 19 pneumonia and rapidly spreading to the other infected lung that was on the verge of collapsing 5. Blood tests and urine tests were being done trying to determine the cause . 6. Four pulmonologist s were called in to try and access the severity of the lungs infection s and what best treatment to follow. My husband Patish was admitted to Glynwwood Peeds ICU unit at 04.34am 17August 2021. I am grateful to Dr haffejee for locating dr D M Vahed . I am forever in the depth of the Glynwwood medical staff on duty on the 16thAugust 2021 , for helping and assisting my husband so efficiently to bring him back from deaths door , so that God willing my husband Parish will get to see his 2 small sons aged 7 & 10 again . My heart still breaks , as when I close my eyes , I hear the desperate cries of our two boys & how they were praying to God to just give Daddy a 2nd chance please, we promise to be good children and not fight anymore if you make daddy healthy again . DR MS Carrim I will pray for you to find empathy and kindness in your heart . I am afraid that if the national health council of South Africa, does not not intervene , this will become the norm . God alone only knows how many’s people s lost lives and blood lies in your hands , because you thought that you were invincible. Bigger than the system . Untouchable and I indispensable . I hope that the necessary charges be brought against you , and also make others brave enough to name and shame the drs that have sworn the hypocritical oath , But have forgotten that no one is above the law , but most importantly, is that every life matters . I wait a response to my letter ,as if my letter can help save just 1 life out there, than I have done my duty as a law abiding citizen of South Africa sincerely Fatima Bibi Abdool ***
