Clueless Dr prescribing meds for something he says he doesn't know

My son has this bad rash that is spreading all over his body, we were seen by Dr Mphelane who came in and filled in a form asking questions which seemed covid related like if the baby is coughing, has a blocked/runny nose, if the baby travelled outside of Gauteng...

He checked using the states cope if the baby was whizzing and confirmed that he is fine and then continued with the form and said that the baby doesn't have red eyes. I asked why he says he doesn't when he never checked the baby? He then said he saw when he came closer to the baby. He then said he will prescribe imulsifying ointment and some cream that works as an antibiotic. I then asked that he asked all those questions but he is not addressing what the rash is and what could have caused it. He then said he doesn't know what the rash is, I should go buy what he is prescribing and if it doesn't work I should come back in 3 days for admission. I don't get how he is prescribing meds for something he doesn't know, I saw he didn't even bother checking what brought us to the hospital until I asked and I was not happy with him saying he doesn't know what the rash was but was quick to prescribe meds for something he doesn't know, worse he sends a nurse to recommend us their pediatrician who works with them. He looked as if he was in a hurry and didn't take his time to attend to the patient and what we were really there for. I feel he only came to see us just to fill in that form and then leave. The baby was only given a supposetory for the fever. We were charged R3046.80 for what really I don't know. I had the worst service from the Dr and I don't see myself going back.
