Formal Complaint Regarding Failure to Assist With an Urgent Ultrasound fromDrs Mashao & Dzichauya Inc ound Referral

I would like to express my disappointment with the service I received at Drs Mashao & Dzichauya Inc Specialist Radiologists at Dr SK Matseke Hospital.

My son suddenly fell ill, and I rushed him to a GP. After examining him, the doctor was concerned about his condition and referred him for an urgent ultrasound, as there was suspicion of a serious condition. The referral clearly indicated that the scan needed to be done immediately.

I then went straight to Dr SK Matseke Hospital and approached Drs Mashao & Dzichauya Inc Specialist Radiologists, expecting that my son's urgent condition would be attended to. However, I was told to make an appointment and come back the following day.

I honestly do not understand how a sick child who has been urgently referred for an ultrasound can simply be told to return the next day. The GP was concerned enough to refer him immediately, yet I had no choice but to leave and go home with my child still unwell and without the scan being done.

This was an extremely frustrating and distressing experience as a parent. When a child is sick and a doctor suspects something serious enough to require an urgent scan, being told to come back tomorrow is unacceptable. I believe urgent cases should be handled with greater care, compassion and urgency.

I hope this complaint will be taken seriously and that the practice reviews how emergency or urgent referrals are handled to prevent other patients and parents from experiencing the same situation
