Dr Leon Roodt Unitas Hospital

I did not want to give him even one star but I had to for the sake of writing a review. I’ve had the worst experience this week. I had to see a gynecologist very urgently ( mine left the county) and so I searched for the closest one with the first available spot. At first I was reluctant to go because I actually do not feel comfortable with n Male Gynecologist. Anyway, I went. At the consulting office you are just a number. They do not make appointments by using your name or surname, you must give your file number, even when you talk to them over the phone! You are just another number to him! When I sat down in his office asked me a question I could not answer and so I explained it to him. He blatantly asked it again and so I gave him an answer that I did not know was the one. When I left the appointment I still did not know what may be wrong, but I went for the blood tests and waited patiently. Iat the appointment he told me that if I don’t hear anything from him I must know that every thing is fine. Thursday I saw that I have a missed acall from the doctors office. So I immediately thought something is wrong. I called back Friday morning and the lady at the office said he will call me back when he gets out of theatre. He called me back and I answered with “Chamoné speaking. He then said that it is Dr Roodt. Can I just say that I am a teacher and the moment he called a class walked in so I wanted to answer and get my results as quickly as possible. So when I heard who was talking I said “ oh Hello” and his response was: “It is Doctor Roodt for you” I immediately thought how rude of you to force someone , who was panicking about her results, to call you Dr. He is not my superior and it did not make me less of a human to not call him by his title. I feel that his title is more important to him than his patients. I realized that he is probably insecure about who he is in life and when people call him Doctor he thinks he can rule! He is a narcissist and i feel that all women in pretoria should know this. His office is at Unitas Hospital in Centurion.
