MEDICAL BILL

Good day, In November 2024 I have eye surgery and Dr Kavitha Naidu at Thekwini Hospital charged me a R2 500.00 co-payment despite her being on the medical aid panel of doctors. Discovery paid her in full and she refused to refund me when I queried this. They did not put the R2 500.00 co-payment on the account when they submitted the account to Discovery for payment. They have been manipulating the bill, inserting higher amounts on the bill to substantiate for the co-payment. I have proof of the bill being amended. They even had written an amount higher in ink and send it to me. When I queried this they said it was the code. Now they want my bank account details to refund me a lower amount but Discovery has sent the statement confirming that they have been paid in full. I am to date still waiting for confirmation that they will pay me the full amount. Not sure how many other patients they have done this to.
