Avoid Dr. Karin de Witt at all costs – your time and respect mean nothing here.

I booked an appointment for Tuesday, only to have it shifted last-minute to Wednesday at 11:00, a public holiday. I gave up family time to honour this, arrived on time, signed in, and was warmly welcomed by the receptionist (the only positive part of this experience). Then came the disaster. We waited. And waited. 15 minutes passed with the same tired excuse about an “emergency” (the same excuse used to move the appointment in the first place). Another 15 minutes later, still waiting. Then another 15 minutes, now a total of 45 minutes. During this time, I witnessed Dr. de Witt casually having a personal chat in the back while patients sat ignored. No. Excuses. When she finally emerged, instead of professionalism, I was met with arrogance, dismissive comments, and a shocking attitude. When I called out the disrespect for my time, her response was sarcastic and rude. When I decided enough was enough, I asked for my documents back. She dramatically ripped them up in front of me. Let’s be clear: this is not an isolated case. One glance at her other reviews shows the same pattern of arrogance, lateness, and disregard for patients. The only person saving face at this practice is the receptionist, who is consistently left apologizing and trying to patch up after her doctor’s unprofessional behaviour. If you value respect, punctuality, and basic decency, do yourself a favour: avoid this practice. Unless you enjoy wasted hours, empty excuses, and being treated as if your time means nothing.
