Dr Johan Burger in Port Elizabeth

I phoned Dr Johan Burger's practice this morning to book an appointment as a private patient. His secretary Janita/Juanita asked me a few questions which upon that would be decided if I get the appointment or not...I definitely don't have Covid symptoms whatsoever and I was surprised that a secretary wanted to act like a doctor (doubt that she took the hypocritical oath) The doctor on the other hand I assume did & so should not turn anyone away. It was appalling to find out that with my symptoms I should go for a Covid test first. She neglected to ask me if I have a soar throat, cough or any associated symptoms. Has it occurred to her that I might be stressed, having a bit of fatigue because I work under pressure and my body is telling me it's run down? This is unacceptable, disgusting and down right inhumane. What has become of humanity!!!!?? I think it's high time that ladies who work at the front desks of doctors should have a reality check, they are not doctors, they are assistants who make bookings and do the paperwork and accept payments. They are NOT there to diagnose!!!! This should be addressed by the Medical Board ASAP!!!!!! I am a Christian, but today I almost didn't act like one.
