Unrealistic charge out rates/poor customer service

I am extremely disappointed in the way I was treated by Dr Potgieter's staff today!The poor client service is a shock in comparison to the excellent client service I always received from Dr Erasmus and her staff. I believe I can talk on behalf of all Dr Erasmus's prior patients that the horrific 250% Dr Potgieter is charging above medical aid rates are unbelievable and the fact that none of these increases were communicated to Dr Erasmus's patients are unacceptable.I made an appointment with Dr Potgieter's receptionist early January and she didn't once informed me that I need to pay R2200 cash when I see the doctor!You can just imagine my surprise when I was told this morning about the R2200 I need to pay and that I'm now a new patient, regardless of the fact that I was Dr Erasmus's patient for 5 years!Since Dr Potgieter bought the practice from Dr Erasmus, no one ever informed us about the new tariffs and the fact that we would be recognized as new patients.I'm sure, if this was communicated, most of us would go to other doctors that doesn't charge 250% above medical aid tariffs. We were humiliated by the accounts lady in font of other patients while the doctor was watching!!!
