Poor service at the doctor's front desk

Today I was extremely sick and went to the doctor's rooms,. I got rudely reminded why I stopped coming to this surgery 5 years ago. The same receptionist who treated me with disrespect sent me away because I didn't have the medical card even though I had a file and nothing has changed. I have been in the same medical aid, same address, same telephone number, same employer for over 20 years and all that information was on the file which she had in her hand. With disappointment I had to leave, sadly I had no strength to drive for more than a kilometre further. Had to park on the roadside and call for an ambulance. Coming to think that doctors, especially this one treats patients with respect and humility, then someone else who is in the front desk ill-treat patients. I think I should have reported this back then when it happened but I thought I misread the energy but today confirmed that this is either her personality or she has something personal against me which needs to be addressed.
