Unprofessional and Bad behaviour

I basically met this paediatrician when I was giving birth. She was the one who attended my daughter in the theatre . Fast forward to 4 weeks later on the 6th of May 2021 when I took my daughter for checkup as she was sick. Then after the diagnosis my daughter was admitted in the Paediatric(ICU) ward for treatment. I am certainly unhappy with the Pediatrician’s work of ethic . She came late to check on my daughter. The following day we had to even call her around 6pm to ask if she’s coming to check on the baby. How unprofessional is that from a doctor. Eventually she arrived and oh wow! The disrespect and rudeness from her. Oh not to mention that she also misdiagnosed the child and said she lacks iron , we then took the child to a different doctor and the doctor said the baby is 100% perfectly fine. I have never in my life had encountered such behaviour from any doctor. She said to me and the father of the baby “ my family comes first, you should know that” those are her exact words , as if our daughter is not important to us.

I truly advise mothers to choose they desired paediatrician or do a background check before giving birth . It was honestly a very stressful time for our family.I would never wish anyone to go through such bad treatment from a doctor.

We have escalated the matter to the Head of the department. We can not tolerate such behaviour . However we are still awaiting feedback from the Hospital
