Absolutely unprofessional

I called Dr Singh to repeat my prescription medication. Her secretary did not make me at all aware that she would charge me R300.00 for a one minute telephone consult. Dr Singh is charging me the same price of a physical consult which is extremely outrageous. I am currently a student and to cough up R300.00 for a telephone consult is utterly disappointing . I am disgusted that I’ve been sent an email later on regarding my account owing to Dr Singh, stating that my details will be sent to the debt management if payment is not made. I’ve been to many reputable doctors whom are specialists that have never charged me for a telephone call to renew a script. It just goes to show how greed can drive a person to become so unreasonable . Dr Singh further called me to explain to me her policy after the telephone consult was made. I find it extremely unprofessional on how Dr Singh makes a patient aware of her policies only after the telephone consult was made and claims it to be “common sense “ if the patient was unaware of her policies . I will definitely not be visiting Dr Singh again or recommending her to anyone else.
