As a patient of Fourways Life I am completely and utterly appalled to say the least. I have never encountered a more *********, negligent, rude, unconcerned doctor in my life!

On Tuesday the 21st of August my Father was taken to the hospital by Ambulance. He was seen by Dr Walton (Tessa Walton-Leask) He had a exceptionally high D dimer, his Trop T was elevated and he was Anemic and his ECG was bad. He is a stubborn old (75) man and this doctor has clearly never dealt with an elderly patient before as she wanted to admit him and he did not want to be admitted because he was scared. Instead of this doctor having a kind demeanour and explaining the process to him and as I quote from the Hippocratic oath "I will apply, for the benefit of the sick, all measures which are required". Instead she discharged him and made sure he wrote down a reason that she was happy with as to why he was discharged.

The following day the family got together to go see my father who was worse than the day before... he was weak and feeling extremely sick and struggled to get out of bed and he decided after extensive convincing to go back to the hospital and be admitted he could not take the way he was feeling anymore. We went back to the hospital during our follow up time and we were seen by the same doctor whose attitude was despicable. She ordered another ecg which once again was not normal, infact the ecg was incredibly worrying I have a copy. She requested the bloods from the day before be pulled (so she once again was reminded of how high his blood levels were) and she said she refuses to admit him because of his attitude the day before as not much had changed since then. Who is she to say this as we were watching his condition deteriorate and she never repeated blood tests. !!

I asked if she was turning him away and she said no she is not he can be treated as an outpatient because he did not listen to her the night before. I have never in my life heard of a doctor treating a patient with such a high D dimer and Trop T being treated as an outpatient. This woman should not be a doctor!!! She turned away a sick old man because she was angry he didn't listen to her before! She was rude arrogant and cruel to a sick old man who she turned away. Luckily, Dr Dalby was wonderful and when we discussed this with him he had my Father admitted into ICU the same day. He spent a few days there where he learned he has severe heart failure and stage 4 colon cancer!! Dr Dalby had to stabilize his heart condition, which he did. had it been for the casualty doctor Tessa Walton Leask (Her badge reads "Dr Walton) who knows if he would have even survived. Please do not let her see to you or any family members, she is unconcerned and negligent! You have the right to request a different doctor. She is being reported to the Health Council.
