Confused practice

Made a booking on the 20th of Dec 2019 for the 25th of Dec 2019. Arrived at 11 on the day only to be told that there are no records of the appointment. I was told I could wait. 30min later I was still waiting with another patient ahead of me. Apparently the 24th of Dec is the day the Dr waits for new patients hence no appointments made. I will not be one of those new patients, obviously. Was then told they do not claim through medical aids, that is your own responsibility. The rates are through the roof compared to Medicross and others. I walked out.
