NO COMPENSATION FOR HUMAN ERROR

13/02/2017: Today I was contacted by attorney's saying I owe them money from a Dr ***buyi (assist in ceaser 2015). I contacted the accounts department at the doctor and told them this is the first time I am notified about an outstanding account. According to them they have send out sms and mail a letter to me saying I've got an outstanding amount (never received any of this). After confirming with my medical they did pay me the amount to pay the doctors but only now they see the debit order was returned not paid to me. Wasn't anyone (doctor/medical) suppose to phone me regarding this. How can I pay something that I am not aware of. I paid another doctor immediately after they PHONED me and said there is an amount that the medical is not covering, so I wouldn't hesitate paying Dr ***buyi if they could've only phoned me. How reliable is cell phones and mail these days. The e-mail address accounts send to attorneys was also wrong. So after arguing with accounts lady and attorney's I paid the full amount included attorney cost which was almost R1000 money thrown in the water according to me. I think it is unproffesional to hit someone with an account handed to attorney's after 1year and almost 4months. Is this the way they make money off people working hard for a living.
