Dr Ancker R854 for 5 minutes and misdiagnosed

<p>I called Dr Slazus rooms to make an appointment with an ophthalmologist and was given an appointment with Dr Ellen Ancker for the same day as they had a cancellation. My consultation took exactly 5 minutes and then I was presented with a bill of R854. I queried this with the receptionist who said she could do nothing about the fee, I would need to speak to Dr Ancker. The doctor was already in another consultation so I asked the receptionist to get the doctor to call me which she never did. I sent two emails which also went unanswered. It is disgusting that someone can get charged R854 for 5 minutes, effectively this is over R10,000 per hour. To makes matters worse I was misdiagnosed and needed to see another doctor. </p>
