Dr Radloff Gynecologist

We found out I was 3 weeks pregnant in February 2022. I started having light spotting during week 5 and contacted several gynecologists for an appointment. Dr Radloff was the only one that could accommodate my hospital plan and budget. However, going to Dr Radloff was a terrible experience.

Her consultation rooms informed me that they only start seeing patients at week 7 of pregnancy since the medical aid will only pay for it then. She prescribed progesterone without an appointment or examination. The bleeding got worse and I decided to go to a GP. She assured me that it was just implantation bleeding. However, a week later the bleeding still did not stop and I phoned Dr Radloff for an appointment. She did the examination so poorly, she did not even notice the heartbeat and almost immediately said I had a very early miscarriage. Just as she finished her sentence, my husband said "Look, something is moving". Dr Radloff looked further and picked up the heartbeat. She just said to continue with the progesterone and to come back after 2 weeks. I did not even make the 2 week mark thereafter.

A week and a halve later I was in so much pain, my husband had to rush me to the hospital. Next morning, after the hospital trauma, she quickly had a "consultation" with us and said a D&C is not necessary! Worst thing a Dr can EVER do is that!!!!

I have so many health issues after my miscarriage and not having D&C could have contributed to this. It is also very risky and unusual not to do this procedure after a miscarriage!
