Healthy natural birth with umbilical cord around the baby. Surgical removal of fibroids and ovarian cyst.

I would like to appreciate Dr Aigbe for walking with me in one of the most difficult times of my life. In 2019 when I was pregnant with my son, I was also diagnosed with fibroids. I had a very painful pregnancy and in my third trimester my son’s umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck. Dr Aigbe was able to see that before it could cause harm to the baby.I was able to give birth naturally without any complications. He induced me and reassured me that I will deliver well. I thank him to date that he is very observant and professional.

Fast forward to 2024 when I then decided to go back to Dr Aigbe to follow up on the fibroids that I was once diagnosed with. While doing a scan he discovered multiple fibroids and an ovarian cyst. The Dr gave me information to detail about possible complications and told me to go and make a decision. I was hesitant to go back and remove the fibroids surgically but after 4 months I went back to him. He was very patient with me even though I kept running away from dealing with the situation.

I was admitted and the surgery took about 2 and a half hours,4 fibroids were removed, a cyst was drained and my womb was twisted due to one huge fibroid that was there. These things I can say that are silent killers because I didn’t have any symptoms besides heavy periods which I thought was normal. The Dr also informed me that had I became pregnant again,chances of miscarriage were very high as this one fibroid was occupying much space in my womb.I thank Dr Aigbe for doing a great job and making sure I was fine throughout the entire process. Dr Aigbe is the best gynaecologist.I’d advise women to never hesitate and consult with him. He is very good with high risk pregnancies and womb related conditions.
