Dr Dawid Burger (junior)

On 28 June 2021, Dr Burger operated on my right foot to remove a small bone. At the time, I was pain free. He promised me that I would be able to cycle again within 3 weeks after the operation. We agreed that he would operate on the outside of my ankle, to avoid damage to the tibial nerve on the inside. Moments before I was pushed into the operating theatre, he informed me that he would be cutting on the inside of my ankle (close to the tibial nerve). During the operation, Dr Burger caused severe damage to my tibial nerve resulting in daily pain in my foot since the day of the operation. I have had to contend with this pain for more than 10 months. He has created a living nightmare. On 11 October 2021, I sent an email to Dr Burger asking him for a further prescription for pain medication. Despite my pain, he ignored my request for a further prescription.
