Paid R500 for absolutely nothing

I am so frustrated now it feels like i just waisted a R500 at this practice in gordons bay. I took my daughter there this morning thinking the doctor would be able to help us. She got cotton stuck in her ear but i first took her to baychem and they tried to rinse it out but he was unsuccessful... Then said i should try a doctor and we stopped at doc barnard. Receptionist said they can help.... And she wanted upfront payment not even looking at the ear first or anything as the child is not sick.... Anyhow the doc couldn't get the object out with the rinse and now i just feel like i lost my money bcz i must anyway take her to the hospital now... They could have atleast gave me some kind of refund if not all... I mean times are tough and i paid for a service and still sitting with the problem.
