Worst insurer

I have a Doves All Nations policy at Doves which has lapsed due to non payment. I was on unpaid maternity leave as of the 01 August 2020 until 01 December. I encountered some problems with the UIF and only received payment 24/11/2020. I have advised the Union Life staff as well as the complaints department at Doves about the situation and was told to pay R380 and one months premium then my policy will be activated. On Monday 30/11/2020 I was ready to pay the above amounts as well as another 2 premiums to keep the policy ahead. I just received feedback saying the policy cannot be reactivated, which now means I lose all my premiums paid to date as well as the cover for my loved ones.

I am going to take this further as two different consultants gave two different explanations on what needs to be done.

Ridiculous service!
