Shady Business Practice
1. Well, I've just joined/taken a Doves Funeral Policy through one their door2door Sales Agents not so long ago. I didn't even think twice about taking a Doves Funeral Policy especially since I had seen their new television adverti*****ts a few times. I must admit though, I nearly fell off my chair when their Sales Agent asked me for a R50 "joining fee" plus the first month's payment in hard cash...I mean do I look like a fool¿¿...I wasn't gonna let some con artist pull a 90s **** on me, was more surprised that she (Sales Agent) had the guts to even ask me in fact... Fast forward, it turned out the poor thing (Sales Agent) wasn't trying to **** me at all, Doves Funeral really expect you the (the buyer) to fork out that amount of monies as mentioned...ahem...to a badgeless and no proof of identification stranger nogal. They must I'm dumb, best I go straight to their closest office. Never! Shame man, the poor Sales Agent was used to people who like me doubted her motives so instead she offered to pay the cost of taking me to their offices herself. Clearly here Doves Funeral Insurance intentions are cruel and not the least at best interest for their door2door Sales Agents. And I bet for every 10 people the agents try to introduce the products to they'd be very lucky to get even 1 to join...the other 9 goes straight to the office = loss of commission for the agent. A calculated evil and cruel intentional move by Doves Funeral Insurance if you ask me...to avoid paying these poor hardworking door2door Sales Agent, I'm sure what is also a lousy commission. 2. Well, this should be exposed for the **** it is. Doves Funeral Insurance advertises what sounds like a very fair deal in the TV commercial...you take out a funeral policy = 12 people including you are covered in the event of death, Doves Funeral Insurance covers all costs including a coffin/casket and some related service costs (eg. R5000 cash back, some chairs/flyers/water, he****/family transport and a rental car where applicable). Very enticing for any household that can afford this if you ask around I must admit, until you buy this 'product' of course. Apparently this product available only via their Call Center and you must send wordings to a certain shortcode and if you're lucky a Sales Agent might call you...almost 6 months for me no call. That's not the problem though...what I really don't understand is why advertise something on national TV and maybe somewhere else too but have neither the resources to implement it nor have your desk staff properly informed about such a product. Unless of course your intentions are cruel and evil, again. Evil Scenario: A. Create a very enticing print/TV/radio commercial with shady details on how it works...evil laugh B. Throw in a parallel door2door marketing evil strategy at unsuspecting potential customers who might be thinking they scored themselves a great product. Oops, not the same one as advertised on TV...deceit masters at work...louder evil laugh C. "Thanks for your support, ass***e"...lol...to the dumb Sales Representatives, "who in their ****** minds will give you cash?? Wake up, it's 2016 dummies, most smart people prefer going straight to the offices for stuff this important. Thanks for getting the word out about Doves Funeral Insurance though. Wow, you signed 1 person. Congratulations". D. Well, if you think you're going through a hard time when you lost your loved one, brace yourself because things are going to be very very harder...lol...you must still us for the coffin/casket/storage/transportation and everything else and please pay us a R1000 handling fee if you want to use XYZ Funeral Services...hahahahaha E. Deny payment... bwahahahahaha It doesn't make sense, why don't you just convert all pre-existing policies to this 'should-have-been-in-the-first-place' funeral cover and eliminate all potential confusions? I mean it costs the same anyways also equals happier clients. Unless your intentions were not holy at the first place...1. I mean you're a funeral undertaker for crying-out-loud. My advice to people is: Be very careful when you're dealing with this company or at least go in with your eyes wide open.
