DOVES - NEVER AGAIN - TRAUMA FOR FAMILY AS COFFIN WAS LATE

I visited Doves Bellville and saw Alvenese on Friday 16/09 following my Dads death. We went through all the paperwork in the next days following up to his funeral on Wednesday 01/09. I clearly stated coffin to be in front of chapel and be removed again before mourners come out. Then private cremation. The one important request I had was that the coffin be at the chapel by 10.15am. By 10.30am I called Alvenese as the undertaker had not yet arrived. She contacted the undertaker who said he was "around the corner". In the interim, the chapel started filling with family and others, and still no coffin. Finally at 10.53 the he**** comes around the corner with quite a speed and pulls up. No one to take coffin out so he**** has to move to another place - undertaker was no aware of arrangements. This was very upsetting for the family and totally unacceptable to us. I called the head office as well as the Bellville branch and was told to send an email.
