WARNING: BECAREFUL OF THE DOTSURE INSURANCE THAT INCLUDES NETSTAR TRACKING DEVICE YOU WILL BE CHARGED TWICE FOR THE TRACKER

I had a vehicle that was covered by Dotsure insurance and the package was including a tracker which makes a package. When I sold my car in December 2022 I reported to Dotsure and requested a new premium quote for the new car which also includes Netstar tracker. When I enquired if I should call Netstar about this because the device went with the buyer hence I requested premium that includes the same. I was advised that I should not worry all will be taken care of and no extra cost will be involved because the insurance for the new car will replace the old one as the vehicle was shipped from Cape Town and it wouldn't leave the dealership without insurance. They even told me that a broker will liaise with Netstar (I do have Dotsure agents names that were assisting me if required). To my surprised I have received a notification from my bank FNB that reads as follows: “ New debit order on account ending ...5262 on 31 Dec 22: NETSTAR. If you don't know this debit order, click on Debit Orders Disputes for more info.” I have sent several emails to Dotsure about this issue and there was no response instead I was called and told the matter will be escalated. Toda, I sent a reminder because I cant be charged twice for tracker in one month. A lady that called me indicated that she checked with their Head Office and she was told that would be my last payment. That means I will be double charged. Having this said, I have taken a decision to shop around for other reputable insurers to avoid stress and hassles.
