Such a frustrating experience with Dotsure

I had a difficult time dealing with Dotsure after being involved in a car accident. I had to follow up with them every week to get any information about my claim to just get it registered, which was frustrating and time-consuming. Dotsure asked me to take pictures of my car and then gave me an excess that was much higher than I expected because of the additional excess that they added. When I took my car to a panel beater for a quote, I found out that the damage was much more severe than what Dotsure estimated based on the photos. To make matters worse, Dotsure suggested that I fix my car myself because they believed the damage was less than my excess, despite the panel beater's findings. Additionally, Dotsure informed me that I would be charged an additional R6000 because the accident happened before 12 months had passed since we got the insurance, and another R6000 because there was no tracking device fitted on my vehicle. However, Suzuki and the panel beater mentioned that they only charge an additional excess for the tracking device if the vehicle was ******, which was not the case for me, so I don't understand why they added an additional R6000 for a tracking device that is not installed on my vehicle. Overall, they mentioned that this is stated on my policy, however I can not seem to find where it is stated, and why it is such a huge additional excess amount added to my basic excess amount. I would recommend that anyone who has to deal with Dotsure be very clear about the details of their policy and claim to avoid any misunderstandings. That being said, I would not recommend dotsure as your insurance provider.

Reviewer Update
UPDATE: After my initial review detailing the challenges I faced with Dotsure, I was hopeful when a consultant reached out to me, promising to register my claim and send an assessor to examine my car. However, it has been over a week since that conversation, and there has been no follow-up from their end. Despite numerous attempts to contact them, my calls and messages have been met with either silence or vague promises of getting back to me. This lack of communication and their apparent disregard for my situation is not only frustrating but also disappointing. My experience with Dotsure continues to be a struggle - from having to constantly follow up, to the lack of transparency and the delays in processing my claim. This has caused significant inconvenience and stress. I strongly urge potential customers to consider this experience when choosing their insurance provider. It is vital to have an insurer who is responsive, transparent, and takes their customer's concerns seriously.
