Stick to Insuring Animals If You Don't Care About Human Customers

I took out insurance with DotSure believing that, should I ever need to claim, my vehicle would be repaired properly and I would have peace of mind. Unfortunately, my recent experience has left me feeling disappointed, frustrated, and questioning whether customer interests are truly being considered.

Following an accident, I obtained a quotation from a reputable repairer. However, the approved repair amount provided by DotSure appears to be based on parts pricing and labour rates that reputable repairers simply cannot match. The figures seem to reflect idealised or street-level pricing rather than what established repair facilities can realistically source and perform repairs for.

To better understand the process, I visited one of the repairers on DotSure's approved panel. What I found raised serious concerns. The facility was not Volkswagen-approved, and the paint and repair standards I observed did not inspire confidence. As the owner of a relatively new Volkswagen Polo, I am understandably concerned about the quality of repairs that may be performed on my vehicle.

What concerns me most is the apparent focus on achieving the lowest possible repair cost rather than ensuring that the vehicle is restored to an acceptable standard. Customers pay insurance premiums for protection, quality, and peace of mind—not to be forced into a position where they have to argue about repair quality after an accident.

I am not asking for special treatment. I am simply asking for my vehicle to be repaired properly, using realistic costing and quality standards that protect the vehicle's safety, appearance, and long-term value.

I would appreciate transparency regarding: • The labour rates app**** to the repair calculation. • How the approved amount can realistically be achieved by reputable repairers.

At this stage, I feel that the claims process has prioritised cost savings over customer confidence and repair quality. That is not the level of service I expected when choosing DotSure as my insurer.
