Poor Poor Claims Process
The family have been using their pet insurance for many years , so i decided to sign up for their extended warranty.
A year later i booked my car in for a service and i was informed that a sensor needed to be replaced. So i called , the service manager called too and zero response.
The part needed to be ordered so i left my car overnight . FInally got hold of them the next morning and i was assisted by the most sarcastic unclient friendly consultant ive spoken to in ages. Long story short , multiple calls later and complaints , a case was logged.
The issue. I was told that i was not allowed to pay for the part/repair until my claim was approved ( a month later still no indication until i contacted them to cancel was i told that the case has been finalized , whatever that means )
so the approval takes up to 72 hours , so that means that you cannot have your car repaired ( apparently thats not how the policy works )until its approved. The most illogical part. I must request a quote before i book my car in for repair and magically identify which part needs to be replaced and get a quote
And to top it all , its my job as the customer to contact you and get all the documents which the service manager stated that he never had to supply these docs before as their warranty service provider dealt with them directly.
I think Dotsure should stick to pet insurance , vehicle warranty is not something you do very well , except for the very quick easy onboarding as a customer.. You are trailing behind your competitors big time
