Pet insurance

Highly disappointed with dotsure pet insurance. My dogs have been on your plan for the past 3 years starting on an accidental plan, I then put them on the highest plan that they have as my one dog had major back surgery, and I needed to make sure that should there be an issue like this again in the near future that they would be covered of which they only paid R3 400.00 of the R24 000.00 I had been charged. One of my dogs recently had surgery due to a hernia from being spayed which developed into a lump recently which was a major concern. I submitted my claim form on Wednesday (3rd Oct) to claim for the hernia operation, only to be told that they will not over the costs because it’s a pre-existing condition? I would love to know how dotsure can say that it is a pre-existing condition prior to the policy being taken out. I would love to know why we pay such high amounts for our pets to be put on a medical aid, if they will find every excuse not to pay out for the claim? Very quick to take your money but the minute you try and claim they will find every way not to pay, typical insurance company.
