Not what I signed up for!

In July 2016, I purchased a new vehicle, and got insurance with Dotsure.

During the telephone call, when I was opening the policy, there was no mention that I needed to supply any form of 5 years full comprehensive details of my other insurers.

As I had explained to the consultant, I had changed my Insurance companies a few times during these years.

Before the first debit needs to go off, Now it is requested for me to show proof of this 5 year un-interupted cover. I honestly think this was all a ploy to begin with. As I dont think that anyone keeps their Insurance documents once they have left an insurance company. Now the price has escalated by R300.00 extra P/M

I am refusing to pay this extra, as on the anitial application. It should have been stipulated that I would need to provide the relevand documentation in order to get the discounted rate. I never signed for this, and am extremely Unhappy with this service!

Dear Alfredo

As per the telephonic conversation that you had with our Vuyisile Ndhlovu, we confirm that it is your duty to supply the insurer with the proof of your No Claims Bonus in order for the discount on your premium to remain intact.

However, after your grievance was escalated and discussed with the senior manager in the portfolio division a decision was made that we will give you a manager's discretionary discount on your premium. This means that your premium will remain unchanged and will not be affected by the absence of the No Claims Bonus letter.

We sincerely hope that the above pleases you.

Kind regards
