Not Paying Out
Took an accident policy with Dotsure for my pet - dog started limping, took dog to vet. Vet said to give anti-inflammatories and come back for x-ray if it hadn't improved. Took dog back for x-ray thinking we would be covered for said x-ray. Dotsure now is not paying for it based on the 'premise' that there is a 30 day waiting period for an 'illness' after the vet filled in the claim form clearly stating 'accidental' claim. There hasn't even been a diagnosis on the x-ray because it's inconclusive - the vets have said they can't really pick anything up and need to send it for another vet to review or run more tests.

25 Oct 2019, 15:54The conclusion by Dotsure is that they are 'assuming' that because I have a large breed dog, and even though his injury has not been diagnosed - Dotsure has decided that this is an illness on their own accord and that they will not cover the claim of the x-rays. I would not recommend Dotsure at all - even the vet claimed that they are just looking for an excuse not to pay out.

29 Oct 2019, 09:11Dotsure did pay for a portion of the claim in the end. It is appreciated that they came to the party in the end - I just wish it hadn't caused the stress that it had initially. I hope that going forward I experience only good things with Dotsure. Thank you.
